Read 1John:4
1 Kings 4:30
Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.
The only way a Christian can discern the Spirits is by asking God for Wisdom. Understanding and knowledge it is to be able to distinguish between good and evil. Having a sound judgement will lead to a wise decision. It is the understanding of God's word and to distinguish between what's right and what's wrong.
If the church (the body of Christ) don't know how to discern, they will continually choose wrong leaders and eventually fall because they are choosing for their own benefits; by putting the spirits to test it will eventually expose the dark into the light.
