Steps to Forgiveness (Devotional)
Jonah's wilderness was the fish that swallow him for three days and three nights.
When we are in great trouble is when we call upon the Lord like Jonah.
I can't imagine someone being inside a fish. It is something awesome but scary at the same time.
How many of us knows that God will not leave us until He accomplishes his purpose?
Interesting steps to forgiveness:
1. they believe God
2. declare a fast
3. put on sackcloth
4. call urgently to God
5. repent of evil ways & violence
Jonah said to God: "I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity"
But Jonah didn't realize that he also sinned when he was hiding from God!
So, he was mad at God because God send him to prophesy and God change His mind towards Nineveh.
This is a great example and teaching on how God takes care of the vine.
Are you mad and concern about the vine? neither you tend it or make it grow.
In my own words: "Are you crazy Jonah you want me to punish hundred and twenty thousand people for making you feel good? You must be out of your mind. I was the one who made them why should you be the concern with something you did not work for? I give and I take away.

Humble before God
Definition of HUMBLE •To bring low; to reduce the power, independence, or exaltation of; to lower; to abase; to humiliate; To make humble or lowly in mind; to abase the pride or arrogance of; to reduce the self-sufficiency of; to make meek and submissive; -- often used reflexively; Near the ground; not high or lofty ... But when I became part of the family of God, I’ve been trying to let that go and let people help me. Because it was so hard to let others help me just because I was part of a Church. And sometimes it’s really hard when a person grows up taking charge of everything. A lot had to do with not letting anyone see how humble (in need or desperate) you might be in need of someone else. It’s because maybe been independent make people that way. It is like me now, telling the entire world “hey, I am imperfect and there is something quite not right with me” but I am confessing in this blog and that makes me humble because I am recognizing “yeah, there is something wrong” but at the same time trying hard to change it. And another thing not on my own; but counting with God's grace and mercy to change me whatever I am lacking. Something like this… “I have to present myself strong in front of others because I suppose to be the strongest one here!” Especially in when one is a parent and have Children. You don’t want them to see you that suffering or have them worried. Or maybe present yourself strong to that member of the family who always is telling you that you will never make it. Or that friend that everything you do they copied and succeed with it just to let you know that you are a failure.
And that’s what we have to deal with… In the Word some of the verses that really stand out about pride 1. Do not think highly of yourselves as you ought 2. God will exalt the humble in due time
Have you been in Church and all of the sudden the preacher make the altar call? “If anyone needs to repent or to forgive anyone without thinking about it come to the front and let us pray for you” and now comes a sense of guilt and now the heart feels convicted. It is hard to show are problems or otherwise, we will be judged and rejected. Well, that’s what happen sometimes, either to ask for help, for prayer and sometimes it is hard to confess anything about what a person is going through because it is hard that others might see a “weak link” instead of a stronger one. Some words that I have heard over the years,

Pride had to do with
1. Thoughts
2. Feelings
3. Trust
Whatever thoughts are feelings and can’t let anyone in because there is fear to be let down again that's where trust comes to play. It is like a wall so no one or nothing can hurt again. But the weird thing about it is that past and present hurts and discouragements and disappointments make a person even stronger. Verses related to pride The LORD sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts (1 Samuel 2:7) When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom (Proverbs 11:2) Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. What is to be humble to God? To bring low (pride), to bow down (in reverence), to submit (to let go). Have you seen a kid fighting for a toy "this is mine, this is mine" and when they see their parents and they told them to let go sometimes they don't have another choice but to let go? God is an authority figure and must of the time the way we were bringing up was not the right one. Some grow without a father or have a really bad memory about their early father and for that kind of people is harder to submit because we think God will turn out to be like our earthly father figure. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. (1 Peter 5:6). Be blessed,

The bible does not mention the term “Halloween” or the mystic Druidic rite “Samhain” from which Halloween is derived and was originally observed about 4,000 years ago. It is the Druidic New Year celebration.
Some view Halloween as a harmless holiday in which children dress up in customs and participate in various traditions. In American schools, more time is given to Halloween-centered activities than any other holiday. In a recent letter to Ann Landers, a parent expressed concern that a fourth grade teacher asked her students to write about how they would most like to celebrate Halloween. Eighty percent said they would like to kill someone or something. In business, Halloween is a multi-billion dollar industry and is heavily marketed.
Is it just scary fun? Should Christians participate in it?
Let’s take a look at Halloween’s origins:
Many Halloween customs come from pagan superstitions relating to Samhain. The druids were priests, sorcerers, and magicians of nature-base Celtic religions that prevailed in the early times in northern Europe which permeated Celtic. Roman Catholic church changed all saint’ day, designed to pay tribute to Christian martyrs, to the beginning of November in an effort to offset the pagan holiday of Halloween. It had previously been observed in May. Some protestant churches also observe All Saints Day.
The practice of “trick or treat” comes from the Celtic tradition of giving food for blessings from spirits of the dead. Failure to provide food supposedly invoked demonic retaliations. Jack-o-lanterns come from carving demonic faces on turnips and later pumpkins. Candle-lit pumpkins or skulls signify the occupants were sympathetic to these spirits and would receive mercy from these spirits if displayed. Druids believed black cats were reincarnations of evil dead souls with supernatural power and knowledge. Bobbing for apples is part of the druidic New Year’s sexual divination of fertility. Broomsticks are part of some Wiccan “circles” and originally considered to be phallic symbols which transformed sexual energy into psychic energy. Contact with spirit beings, through séances, is thought to be highest at Samhain in spirit beings are invoked for personal power.
At a Druidic New Year’s celebration, there were human sacrifices at midnight. Children were thrown into huge fires were others danced around. By morning, only ashes and bones remained. These were called “bone fires” which were we get our tradition of bonfires.
Halloween is one of the “high holy days” in the practice of Wicca, sorcerers, and devil worshippers as well as being a secular observance. On this night, and nights leading up to it, law enforcement officials notice an increase in occultist crime and ritualistic killings evidenced by symbolic markings at the scene, excessive loss of blood in the victims, and organs removed in a certain manner in victims. It is a time of increased abduction of children and animals.
Let’s get into some definitions first (Longman Dictionary)
1.Occult = Mysterious practices and powers involving magic and spirits.
2.Witch = A woman who is supposed to have magic powers, especially to do bad things.
3.Sorceress = A woman in stories who uses magic and receives help from evil spirits.
4.Sorcerer = A man in stories who uses magic and receives help from evil spirits.
The Celts were a deeply spiritual people, who worshipped both a god and a goddess.
The word “witch” is a translation of the Hebrew “Kashaph” which is the same as “Sorceress”
Is there any reference in the Bible to these practices?
There should be not be found among you anyone who burns his son or is daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination, a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer, or a charmer or a medium, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord; and because of the abominable practices the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. For these nations, which you are about to dispossess, give heed to soothsayers and to diviners; but as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you so to do. Deuteronomy 18: 10-11 (Revised Standard Version)

We as daughters and sons of God "born again" are not under the law but under Grace because of Jesus Christ.

That's why we suppose to have the fear of the Lord means that God is to be honored and respected by us.

Living under SIN is to do and act according to this world desires. To put aside the old man and live according to the word of God is to do as He said and be able to grow more in a Christ like person.

Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.
We have the Armor of God which we have to put and guard our hearts and minds. The blood of the Lamb is the one that cleans us and cover us from the dangers and the only thing we need to discern and be able to indentify what it is from God and what it's not.
Ephesians 6:11
Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
It is important to refresh our minds and thoughts every day and speak the word of God in hard situations especially in prayer.
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
The Holy Spirit will speak to your soul and will let you know when to flee from difficult situations which involve Sin.
Deuteronomy 28:7
The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
Want to know how to be born again? It is to repent from your past sins, to confess that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. That was crucified and buried for your sins and that He arose the third day and it's at the right hand of the Father. To welcome Jesus into your heart and let Him changes you forever.
John 3:5-8
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
Born again is to be baptized in the name of the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Testimony: I was once stubborn, blind, deaf, and God knock at my door many times. I always want to do it my way, that's how I was raised. But one day
I realized that there was a God a superior force than me and it does not matter how many times I prayed to an idol to heal me or to give me more money or to take me away from my problems instead I was more and more deep in darkness and trouble. None of those idols could take my problems away including health issues until one day I cried and scream and surrender to God that day I knew that He forgave me and surely gave me a new HOPE! Eternal Life!
I have learned something very important in Jeremiah 23. Prophets cannot say that everything is going well in this world neither prophesied that God will love every sin and He will be ok with that.
God is love and He is surely merciful to those that turns away from their weakest ways and puts Him first in everything they do.
How can God be happy with what Humanity is doing in this world?
None of us will take anything from this world when we die!
As Job Said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised." (Job 1:21)
So, really…
What is so important about pursue riches?
What is so important about being wealthy?
What is so important about material things?
Since I was little this world showed me that if you don't have money, you are no one. Money rules everything!
FREEDOM? Everyone has been classified in different sections
1. Clase Alta (Rich)
2. Clase Media (Middle Class)
3. Clase Baja (Poor)
How can God be happy with hatred towards other nationalities?
How can He be happy when the Government of different countries is letting their own people be hungry while they enjoy a plentiful life full of wealth?
Tell the World: REPENT! And turn away from your weakest (Sinful) ways. STOP offending Him by putting other idols before Him!
No! This world by no means is in a good standing...realized that we cannot save ourselves and there is an authority over all of us that we have to respect and to give reverence!

The Righteous Branch
"Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!" declares the LORD. Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: "Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done," declares the LORD. "I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing," declares the LORD.
"The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness.
"So then, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "when people will no longer say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,' but they will say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.' Then they will live in their own land."
Lying Prophets
Concerning the prophets: My heart is broken within me; all my bones tremble. I am like a drunken man, like a man overcome by wine, because of the LORD and his holy words. The land is full of adulterers;
because of the curse the land lies parched and the pastures in the desert are withered. The prophets follow an evil course and use their power unjustly. "Both prophet and priest are godless; even in my temple I find their wickedness," declares the LORD.
"Therefore their path will become slippery; they will be banished to darkness and there they will fall. I will bring disaster on them in the year they are punished," declares the LORD.
"Among the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: They prophesied by Baal (Lucifer, Devil, Idols) and led my people Israel astray. And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his wickedness. They are all like Sodom to me; the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah."
Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty says concerning the prophets: "I will make them eat bitter food and drink poisoned water, because from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the land."
This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
They keep saying to those who despise me, 'The LORD says: You will have peace.' And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say, 'No harm will come to you.'
But which of them has stood in the council of the LORD to see or to hear his word? Who has listened and heard his word?
See, the storm of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.
The anger of the LORD will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand it clearly.
I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.
But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.
"Am I only a God nearby," declares the LORD, "and not a God far away?
Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?" declares the LORD. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the LORD.
"I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They say, 'I had a dream! I had a dream!' How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds? They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget my name, just as their fathers forgot my name through Baal worship.
Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?" declares the LORD. Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
"Therefore," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me. Yes," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, 'The LORD declares.' Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," declares the LORD. "They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least," declares the LORD.

A message about Babylon
[An alert to flee from the land of Israel and the wrath from the Lord if nations gathered against the Holy land]
This is the word the LORD spoke through Jeremiah the prophet concerning Babylon and the land of the Babylonians : "Announce and proclaim among the nations, lift up a banner and proclaim it; keep nothing back, but say, 'Babylon will be captured; Bel will be put to shame, Marduk filled with terror. Her images will be put to shame and her idols filled with terror.'
A nation from the north will attack her and lay waste her land. No one will live in it; both men and animals will flee away. "In those days, at that time," declares the LORD, "the people of Israel and the people of Judah together will go in tears to seek the LORD their God.
They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the LORD in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten. "My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains. They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place. Whoever found them devoured them; their enemies said, 'We are not guilty, for they sinned against the LORD, their true pasture, the LORD, the hope of their fathers.'
"Flee out of Babylon; leave the land of the Babylonians, and be like the goats that lead the flock. For I will stir up and bring against Babylon an alliance of great nations from the land of the north. They will take up their positions against her, and from the north she will be captured. Their arrows will be like skilled warriors who do not return empty-handed.
So Babylonia [b] will be plundered; all who plunder her will have their fill," declares the LORD. "Because you rejoice and are glad, you who pillage my inheritance, because you frolic like a heifer threshing grain
and neigh like stallions, your mother will be greatly ashamed; she who gave you birth will be disgraced. She will be the least of the nations—
a wilderness, a dry land, a desert. Because of the LORD's anger she will not be inhabited but will be completely desolate. All who pass Babylon will be horrified and scoff because of all her wounds.
"Take up your positions around Babylon, all you who draw the bow. Shoot at her! Spare no arrows, for she has sinned against the LORD. Shout against her on every side! She surrenders, her towers fall, her walls are torn down. Since this is the vengeance of the LORD, take vengeance on her; do to her as she has done to others.
Cut off from Babylon the sower, and the reaper with his sickle at harvest. Because of the sword of the oppressor let everyone return to his own people, let everyone flee to his own land.
"Israel is a scattered flock that lions have chased away. The first to devour him was the king of Assyria; the last to crush his bones was Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon." Therefore this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "I will punish the king of Babylon and his land as I punished the king of Assyria.
But I will bring Israel back to his own pasture and he will graze on Carmel and Bashan; his appetite will be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and Gilead. In those days, at that time,"declares the LORD "search will be made for Israel's guilt, but there will be none, and for the sins of Judah, but none will be found, for I will forgive the remnant I spare.
"Attack the land of Merathaim and those who live in Pekod. Pursue, kill and completely destroy [c] them," declares the LORD. "Do everything I have commanded you. The noise of battle is in the land, the noise of great destruction!
How broken and shattered is the hammer of the whole earth! How desolate is Babylon among the nations! I set a trap for you, O Babylon, and you were caught before you knew it; you were found and captured because you opposed the LORD.
The LORD has opened his arsenal and brought out the weapons of his wrath,
for the Sovereign LORD Almighty has work to do in the land of the Babylonians. Come against her from afar. Break open her granaries;
pile her up like heaps of grain. Completely destroy her and leave her no remnant.
Kill all her young bulls; let them go down to the slaughter! Woe to them! For their day has come, the time for them to be punished.
Listen to the fugitives and refugees from Babylon declaring in Zion
how the LORD our God has taken vengeance, vengeance for his temple.
"Summon archers against Babylon, all those who draw the bow. Encamp all around her; let no one escape. Repay her for her deeds; do to her as she has done. For she has defied the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.
Therefore, her young men will fall in the streets; all her soldiers will be silenced in that day," declares the LORD.
"See, I am against you, O arrogant one," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty, "for your day has come, the time for you to be punished.
The arrogant one will stumble and fall and no one will help her (Israel) up;
I will kindle a fire in her towns that will consume all who are around her(Israel)."
This is what the LORD Almighty says: "The people of Israel are oppressed,
and the people of Judah as well. All their captors hold them fast, refusing to let them go. Yet their Redeemer is strong; the LORD Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that he may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon.
"A sword against the Babylonians!" declares the LORD—"against those who live in Babylon and against her officials and wise men!
A sword against her false prophets! They will become fools. A sword against her warriors! They will be filled with terror.
A sword against her horses and chariots and all the foreigners in her ranks! They will become women. A sword against her treasures! They will be plundered.
A drought on her waters! They will dry up. For it is a land of idols,
idols that will go mad with terror.
"So desert creatures and hyenas will live there, and there the owl will dwell. It will never again be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation. As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah along with their neighboring towns," declares the LORD, "so no one will live there;
no man will dwell in it.
"Look! An army is coming from the north; a great nation and many kings
are being stirred up from the ends of the earth. They are armed with bows and spears; they are cruel and without mercy. They sound like the roaring sea as they ride on their horses; they come like men in battle formation
to attack you, O Daughter of Babylon.
The king of Babylon has heard reports about them, and his hands hang limp.
Anguish has gripped him, pain like that of a woman in labor. Like a lion coming up from Jordan's thickets to a rich pastureland, I will chase Babylon from its land in an instant. Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this? Who is like me and who can challenge me? d what shepherd can stand against me?"
Therefore, hear what the LORD has planned against Babylon, what he has purposed against the land of the Babylonians: The young of the flock will be dragged away; he will completely destroy their pasture because of them.
At the sound of Babylon's capture the earth will tremble; its cry will resound among the nations.

There are a lot of references in the bible regarding God’s warning to Israel and today’s world. I asked the Lord the other day to show me the mystery of the bible and what is the message hidden in the Scriptures. It is a journey to understand the New Testament, so many Scriptures in just a few hours but one thing I discover that God showed me and would like to share with you…Glory to God!
The message of the New Testament had to do with the way the Israelites acted and behave themselves towards God. He told them about everything that was about to take place if they did not rectify and amend their ways. Most of the Prophets talked about Israel the Daughter of Zion and this is what I gather so far.
For example
In Ezekiel 16: 23 “Woe! Woe to you, declares the Sovereign Lord, In addition to all your other wickedness,
And again in …
Isaiah 3: 9 The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
And again in …
Revelation 18:10 Terrified at her torment, they will stand for far off and cry: “Woe! Woe, O great city, O Babylon, city of power! In one hour your doom has come!
Revelation 18: 16 Woe! Woe, O great city dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!
Q. Who God was referring as a prostitute in the Scriptures? It wasn’t about a woman; He was talking about the disgrace acts of the Israelites at that time when they were astray doing displeasing things in the sight of the Lord. Isn’t that what is going on today?
In Proverbs 2:16 says It will save you also from the adulteress, from the wayward wife with her seductive words, who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God. For her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.
And Proverbs 2: 13-14 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding. For she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
Q. Why God mention a man in the beginning and then changed it to a woman? Well, because He is not addresing to a woman in the scriptures. Neither He is referring to a person.
And In Proverbs 5 He talks about the “warning against adultery” and in Proverbs 7 about the “warning against the adulteress”
GOD IS THE GROOM AND WHO IS THE BRIDE? Most of us will say “The Church” and we are right!
Thought- God felt replaced by the Israelites because SHE (as He refer to Israel) forgot the promise they made to Him and commit adultery against God in their wicked ways by putting other gods before the Lord and forgot their first love. That’s why God always warns us not to put any idols before Him, that was one of the fallen human nature back then and now; therefore neither Greek nor gentiles, we are all Children of God.
Isaiah 62: 4-5 For this is what the Sovereign LORD says:"At first my people went down to Egypt to live; lately, Assyria has oppressed them. "And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.
2 Kings 22: 16-17 This is what the Lord says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people according to everything written I n the book the king of Judah has read. Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and provoked me to anger by all the idols their hands have made, my anger will burn against this place and will not be quenched.
Ezekiel 5:8-9 8 "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself am against you, Jerusalem, and I will inflict punishment on you in the sight of the nations. Because of all your detestable idols, I will do to you what I have never done before and will never do again.
2 Kings 17:35-41 When the LORD made a covenant with the Israelites, he commanded them: "Do not worship any other gods or bow down to them, serve them or sacrifice to them. 36 But the LORD, who brought you up out of Egypt with mighty power and outstretched arm, is the one you must worship. To him you shall bow down and to him offer sacrifices. You must always be careful to keep the decrees and ordinances, the laws and commands he wrote for you. Do not worship other gods. Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. Rather, worship the LORD your God; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies." They would not listen, however, but persisted in their former practices. Even while these people were worshiping the LORD, they were serving their idols. To this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did.
Jeremiah 6:18-23 Therefore hear, O nations; observe, O witnesses, what will happen to them. Hear, O earth: I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their schemes, because they have not listened to my words and have rejected my law. What do I care about incense from Sheba or sweet calamus from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable; your sacrifices do not please me." Therefore this is what the LORD says: "I will put obstacles before this people. Fathers and sons alike will stumble over them; neighbors and friends will perish." This is what the LORD says: "Look, an army is coming from the land of the north; a great nation is being stirred up from the ends of the earth. They are armed with bow and spear; they are cruel and show no mercy. Ezekiel 14:12-14 The word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its men and their animals, even if these three men—Noah, Daniel and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD.
Lamentations 3:21-26 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
Ezekiel 11:18-21 "They will return to it and remove all its vile images and detestable idols. I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. 20 Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God. 21 But as for those whose hearts are devoted to their vile images and detestable idols, I will bring down on their own heads what they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD."
Ezekiel 14:6 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!
Jeremiah 4:1-2 "If you will return, O Israel, return to me," declares the LORD. "If you put your detestable idols out of my sight and no longer go astray, and if in a truthful, just and righteous way you swear, 'As surely as the LORD lives,' then the nations will be blessed by him (God) and in him (God) they will glory."
…And this is the love God has for the Daughter of Zion

No distractions
Read: 1Corinthians 7:1-17
What are you doing right now that is keeping you from enjoying what God has for you? Satan will turn this plot around in a number of ways. For example, he often tries to get us so bothered by the one thing we have commanded by God not to do, that we spend far too much time thinking about it. Ultimately it distracts us from obeying God in other areas.
We become so preoccupied with certain restrictions God has placed in our lives that we forget, just as Eve did, that those restrictions are for our own good. Without them we will be in big trouble. Sometimes single women and men are so consumed with “trying not to have sex” or at least trying not to go too far, that they are not enjoying the gift of being single.
They see physical intimacy as something that they have to spend inordinate amounts of time and attention trying to avoid. Although they should indeed avoid having sex outside of marriage, single often gets so upset about the fact that they cannot have sex that they miss out on what God does want them to be doing in their relationship – learning about one another.
What joy there is in simply enjoying what God has for us right now? But in order to do that, we must not be consumed with what He has asked us not to do. The rate of adultery in our country has skyrocketed in recent years, and this can, at least in part, attributed to a simple thing: Satan has dangled the carrot of singleness before the eyes of those who are married, and they have been carried away by curiosity and craving.
If you are single, he tries to cause you to become powerless in your singleness. If you are married, he seeks to make you powerless in your marriage. If you are working in the ministry, he wants you to yearn for more money. If you have children, he wants you to long to be free to do whatever you want, at the risk of abandoning your family. Whatever it is that God has not called you to do right now in your life, Satan will do his best to entice you with that very thing. Beware!

Test the Spirits
Read 1John:4
1 Kings 4:30
Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.
The only way a Christian can discern the Spirits is by asking God for Wisdom. Understanding and knowledge it is to be able to distinguish between good and evil. Having a sound judgement will lead to a wise decision. It is the understanding of God's word and to distinguish between what's right and what's wrong.
If the church (the body of Christ) don't know how to discern, they will continually choose wrong leaders and eventually fall because they are choosing for their own benefits; by putting the spirits to test it will eventually expose the dark into the light.

Assured reliance on the character ability, strength, or truth
of someone or something one in which confidence is placed
In this life we put our TRUST in a lot of things
We take a road trip & TRUST Our car will take us from
point A-B
We raise our children TRUSTING that they will grow up to have
integrity good character & faith
we make work our no.1 priority TRUSTING that it will provide the means
to a college fund, nice car & a good retirement
We exercise, eat healthy & take our vitamins
TRUSTING that it will result in a prolonged life
We say "I Do" TRUSTING it will be until death DO us part
Everytime we TRUST we run the risk of being disappointed
because we put our TRUST in things that are subject
to change
Yet there is ONE that NEVER CHANGES
"Every good and perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of Lights with whom there is NO variation or shadow of TURNING" James 1:17
